High Prairie, Alberta – High Prairie School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Linnea Jones as Principal and Marlee Adams as Vice Principal of C.J. Schurter School.

Linnea has been with High Prairie School Division since 2010. She has over 7 years of experience as an administrator. She began her teaching career in 2000 in Atlin, British Columbia and continued to teach in Fort McMurray and then finally in Slave Lake. Linnea has her Fifth Year Concentration - Science and Environmental Education from the University of Victoria and her Elementary Education Program from the Okanagan University College. She has additionally completed an Interdisciplinary Master of Education - Instructional Leadership/Supporting and Enhancing Children’s Mental Health at the University of Calgary. She will be assuming the role from current Principal Robyn Ord-Boisvert who has accepted a secondment with Alberta Education.

Marlee has her Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta - Faculté St. Jean and is a graduate of Roland Michener Secondary School. She has worked at High Prairie School Division for her entire teaching career; she began with us in 1994. Marlee will be assuming the role from current Vice Principal Brian Hay who will be assuming Linnea’s Vice Principal position at Roland Michener.

Brian Hay has taught with High Prairie School Division since 1988. Brian received his Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta with a major in physical education and a minor in social studies. Brian has been at C.J. Schurter since 2013. Prior to that, Brian was at Kinuso School where he was a Vice Principal for many years.

High Prairie School Division would like to wish Robyn Ord-Boisvert all the best in her new role with Alberta Education. To Linnea, Marlee, and Brian: thank you for your continued support of our Division and for your ongoing commitment to quality public education.
